The Deaf Ministry at Berean Baptist Church

In 2015, Pastor Bob Reno, with the help of Jonathan Arbeen, started the Deaf Ministry at Berean Baptist Church. The Deaf Ministry began with a sign language class for those interested as well as an interpreted service for the Christmas cantata, “Season of Light”.

Because God loves us so much, He sent His Son Jesus Christ to save us. God gave us the Bible so we can learn about Him. God sent Pastor Reno to the South Hill area to reach out to us, love us, and teach us. Pastor Reno started the Deaf Ministry so the deaf can be saved and learn the Bible. Come and join us this Sunday. You will learn biblical principles and that Jesus Christ loves the deaf!

The Deaf Ministry is a ministry that utilizes the gifts of its volunteers to minister to those in our congregation who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Berean Baptist Church provides ASL interpretation for the deaf and the hard of hearing at all services on Sunday, and various other special events at Berean. Periodically, we offer an ASL class for beginners and those with an intermediate knowledge of ASL. If you would like more information, or you know sign language and want to volunteer in this ministry, please contact us. We’d love to get to know you.

We are happy to offer interpreted services on Sunday at 10:00am, 11:00am, and 6:00pm. If you would like to request an interpreter for another service that Berean Baptist hosts, or is involved in, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
